This city is the capital of the Canada since the 31 of of december of 1857 thanks to the queen Victoria and it situe in Ontario where the rivers Outaouais, Rideau and Gatineau cross. It result of the fusion of the old city of Ottawa and 10 city councils at 2000. In 2001 there were 822 600 habitants.

Since december 2006 the mayor is Larry O’Brien . The english and the french is official but most of the population speaks english

The economy is based on politic activities and we can find jobs in high technology and in the tourism. Also we can visit the Colline of Parlement, the Marché By, the Rideau Hall…and many museums.

There are two universities too and the famous aeroport MacDonald-Cartier. Two polices control the city.
